Neue Pflanzen einsetzen im Everleaf Garden

How to Start New Plants While Others Are Still Growing

Have you completely harvested individual plants and now want to plant new ones while others are still growing in your Everleaf Garden? Then you've come to the right place!

👉 However, if you want to start all 24 plants at once, we recommend starting directly in your Everleaf Garden using the integrated germination mode. You can find the instructions here:
For instructions on how to completely restart

Why you shouldn't start new plants directly in the running system

The Everleaf Garden provides your existing plants with regular watering and fertilizer—perfect for the growth of larger plants. But:

For freshly planted seeds, these conditions are often too much of a good thing:

  • Too much water can cause the seeds to rot or prevent germination altogether.
  • Too much fertilizer can damage delicate seedlings before they grow properly.

👉 Therefore, you should always pre-germinate new plants outside the system before planting them in the Everleaf Garden.

Step-by-step instructions for the perfect replenishment

1. Get new plant pods

To ensure that your harvest does not stagnate, you should ensure that you have supplies in good time.
It is best to start growing new plants while the previous generation is still growing.

2. Germinating plant pods in a bowl or container

Place the fresh plant pods in a shallow bowl or small container (such as a storage tin) and place them in front of the light bar of your Everleaf Garden.
This way they get enough light to germinate – but no fertilizer and no constant watering.

Why? In the germination stage, seeds primarily need light and controlled humidity, but not fertilizer or constant moisture.

3. Water properly during germination

The substrate should always be slightly moist, but never too wet. Here's how:

Observe the color of the substrate: If it becomes lighter in color and begins to dry out, it's time to water.

Water gently so the soil is evenly moist, but avoid standing water in the container. Standing water could suffocate the seeds and prevent germination.

As a rule, it is sufficient to add some water every 2-3 days – depending on the humidity and ambient temperature.

Tip: Using a transparent cover or some cling film over the container will help retain moisture. But please air it out once a day to prevent mold from forming.

4. Transfer to the Everleaf Garden

As soon as the first leaves appear, your plant pods are ready to move.
Then carefully place it in a free space in your Everleaf Garden.

Tip: In the initial phase, it is especially important that the young plants get enough light.
To do this, place the larger, mature plants on the outside and the new seedlings in the middle so that they are not shaded and can continue to grow optimally.

Important note on the placement overview:

In our guide you will also find a detailed section that indicates for each plant whether it should be placed on the inside (with lots of light) or outside (with a little less light) column.

So that you know exactly which plant is growing where and how it needs to be thinned, we recommend that you note everything down in your planting plan.
